Myran Strider

Coach Strider earned her undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University and her Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University.

She began her teaching career at Wyatt High School in 2002.  From 2005 through 2024, she proudly served as the Head Volleyball Coach, dedicating nearly two decades to developing student-athletes both on and off the court.  She also proudly served as the Girls Athletic Coordinator for 14 years, providing leadership, guidance, and support for girls’ athletics and helping create opportunities for student-athletes to grow and succeed. 

In addition to volleyball, Coach Strider serves as the Head Flag Football Coach for four years and Head Tennis Coach for two years. 


Coach Strider is passionate about seeing student-athletes discover their love and passion for their sport. She believes athletics teaches valuable life lessons such as discipline, teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and accountability.  Her commitment goes far beyond the playing field. Coach Strider is dedicated to making sure every student-athlete has the opportunity to reach their full potential in the classroom, in athletics, and beyond.

Throughout her career, her goal has remained the same: to inspire, encourage, mentor, and empower young people to believe in themselves, work hard, and become the best version of themselves.
